Welcome to Beaver Creek Sculling
BCS Rowers Strives For Excellence!
Competitive rowing as a high school sport has one official season that begins in Spring. Scholastic Rowing Association Of America (SRAA) sponsored regattas begin in April and culminate in State Championships and a National Championship in late May. The Fall rowing season is for community and club teams and the Western Albemarle High School rowers compete with other community members as Beaver Creek Sculling in the Fall.
No funds are received from the school or the County of Albemarle in support of the team. Fundraising to finance WAHS Crew is a year-round activity and the team depends on parents, fundraising events, donations, sponsors and community members to keep the team on the water. The volunteer coaching staff donates 100% of their time to train these young athletes. Visit the Fundraising Information page to learn more about how to support WAHS Crew and youth rowing in Central Virginia.
